The intersection of my identities do not exist in a vacuum. They do not exist independently from one another. Each one informs the other, and vice versa — the same is true for you!
Professional
I get how hard it can be to feel acknowledged, understood, and remembered for who you are, not for what others want you to be
I am human just like those that I serve
I believe in being transparent and bringing all parts of me into my work with clients
I do not see individuals as the problems that bring them to therapy; rather, I see them as whole people
I join with clients through humor, spontaneity, realness, and getting to know them holistically
One size fits all isn’t my jam - I’ll meet you where you are and tailor our work together to what feels right for you
I’m here to help you make meaning of your story and guide you to change it if you want to
While I may have some knowledge about the process of therapy, ultimately you’re the expert of your own life
Humility isn’t a checkbox for me - I’m committed to ongoing self-reflection and continued learning
How My Brain Works
As a neurodivergent therapist, my brain brings both strengths and challenges into the therapeutic space and I like to be transparent about that!
What this looks like in practice:
I notice patterns and connections quickly, and I can often help name dynamics that feel hard to put into words
I process things deeply and creatively, which means I may use metaphors or imagery when sharing insight with you
I value clarity and directness — If something feels confusing, I’ll slow down with you until it makes sense
I’m comfortable with silence, pauses, and circling back — sometimes the non-linear path gets us to the heart of the matter
And, to be real, there are also quirks that come with the way I work:
I sometimes lose track of time when we’re in the depths of something meaningful (though I do my best to keep us grounded)
I may need to pause and double-check to make sure I’ve followed your thread fully
At times, there are moments where my words are more candid than intended, sometimes catching others off guard
When I’m excited, I may info-dump a lot of ideas, research, or connections at once. I’ll always check-in with you to see what feels useful and I welcome you to tell me you need me to slow down or refocus
I share this not as a disclaimer, but because I believe therapy works best when we’re both real about who we are. My commitment is to show up with care, curiosity, and integrity — and to welcome the full humanity of both of us in the process
