The Human Behind The Work

The intersection of my identities do not exist in a vacuum. They do not exist independently from one another. Each one informs the other, and vice versa — the same is true for you!

My Approach

Therapy, at its core, is a human experience. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationship — in the moments when you feel genuinely seen, not managed or fixed. I bring all of myself into the room with you, and I ask that you bring all of yourself too. That means humor, honesty, and the occasional tangent that ends up being exactly the point.

I'm interested in the bigger picture of your life. The struggles you carry didn't develop in a vacuum — they're shaped by your relationships, your history, and the systems and structures you've moved through. Together we look at both: what's happening inside you, and what's been happening around you.

A lot of the people I work with come in carrying something that feels like personal failure. Part of what we do together is start to loosen that story — to understand how much of what you've been surviving was never really about you. And from there, to imagine what a different story might look like. You're the one who knows your life best. I'm just here to help you make meaning of it, and to change it if you want to.

One size fits all isn't my jam. I'll meet you where you are and tailor our work to what actually feels right for you — because you deserve care that was made with you in mind, not handed to you off a shelf.

How My Brain Works

As a neurodivergent therapist, my brain brings both strengths and challenges into the therapeutic space and I like to be transparent about that!

What this looks like in practice:

  • I notice patterns and connections quickly, and I can often help name dynamics that feel hard to put into words

  • I process things deeply and creatively, which means I may use metaphors or imagery when sharing insight with you

  • I value clarity and directness — If something feels confusing, I’ll slow down with you until it makes sense

  • I’m comfortable with silence, pauses, and circling back — sometimes the non-linear path gets us to the heart of the matter

And, to be real, there are also quirks that come with the way I work:

  • I sometimes lose track of time when we’re in the depths of something meaningful (though I do my best to keep us grounded)

  • I may need to pause and double-check to make sure I’ve followed your thread fully

  • At times, there are moments where my words are more candid than intended, sometimes catching others off guard

  • When I’m excited, I may info-dump a lot of ideas, research, or connections at once. I’ll always check-in with you to see what feels useful and I welcome you to tell me you need me to slow down or refocus

I share this not as a disclaimer, but because I believe therapy works best when we’re both real about who we are. My commitment is to show up with care, curiosity, and integrity — and to welcome the full humanity of both of us in the process
