My Therapy Lens

Liberatory

Therapy begins with cultural humility, honoring your background and life experiences without assumptions. This creates a space where you feel truly seen and understood.

Rooted in social justice and liberation, we explore how systemic inequalities impact your mental health and work to break down those barriers. Therapy is a place for healing, empowerment, and living boldly in your truth. It’s also a space to reimagine ways of being that feel authentic to you.

You are valued not just as an individual but as part of a community striving for equity and justice.

Experiential

It can be hard to talk about painful or intense emotions, especially when they’re tied to past experiences. Experiential therapy offers a space to explore those feelings in the present moment with care and curiosity.

Healing doesn’t always come from insight alone. This approach works by helping you connect more deeply to your emotions through creative and embodied experiences, especially when words fall short.

By having a different kind of experience in the therapy room that feels grounded and emotionally present, you can begin to see yourself and your challenges in a new light.

Relational

Relational therapy focuses on how your relationships shape your sense of self and your connections with others. It provides a safe and accepting space to explore patterns in how you relate, especially those that might be causing pain or keeping you stuck.

In therapy, the relationship between us becomes a place to practice new ways of connecting, helping you feel more seen, understood, and valued. Over time, this can lead to healthier, more satisfying relationships, and a strong sense of connection.
